Thursday's episode showed that Newt was discussing a joint suicide pact with his friend Rae, played by actress Alice Barlow.

Teenage Girls Neve Lafferty 15 from Helensburgh and Georgia Rowe, 14 from Hull, died Sunday after jumping 125 ft hand in hand into the River Clyde in the United Kingdom.

Channel 4 said it carefully considered whether it would be appropriate to continue the screening and put out the show on Friday night. However, the move has been condemned by the care home where the girls lived.

Now some people are concerned on whether the episode should have aired despite the tragic suicides that happened recently.

My take?

People need to start paying attention to their loved ones, especially children. Suicides occur every single day regardless if it is aired on television or not.

Remember kittens...

1,000,000 people die from suicide every year!

Every 40 minutes, someone will take their life.

Suicide is in the TOP THREE leading causes for death for people aged 15-44.

Wake up people. Stop blaming those little TV sets that you keep turned on 24 hours a day. Go knock on your child's door, go call a loved one, go commit a kind deed for a stranger.

Volunteer at a suicide hotline. Quit whining about how TV is going to make little Johnny or Katelyn go jump off a bridge.
