The Internet is the Number One Murderer in The World

It doesn't kill just people, it kills souls.

#RIP No Reckless Internet Posting

I once called a young lady out on Twitter for her stupidity. She made a comment of why she didn't think that talking about bullying in the media was a big deal. When I called her out, she accused me of bullying her, which is patently absurd.

But the point is that people say reckless things all the time over the Internet. Its almost like people develop personas that they wouldn't act or behave in their public life.  A young man referred to means all black people as niggers. When I asked him if he would use that language in my face, he said no, in an obviously candid moment.

So why do people post recklessly on the internet? Telling people they should kill themselves, racist comments, sexism, bullying, and other ridiculous behavior. The unbelievable part is that the troll on the internet is not some chubby kid  with too much time on their hands. They are your boss, a political candidate, your father, or even your best friend.

People should be held accountable for the things that the post. No one has any responsibility and even get off from the rude and nasty things that they say.

I was watching Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and was saddened to see that Deb, the mother of Wacka Flocka lost her son to suicide. When she went through his computer, she found that her son was fighting ignorance. People would make idiotic comments about his family and he decided to fight back. Unfortunately, fighting often leads to more people jumping into the fray and continuing the abuse. They tell you to just turn the computer off but when you are in a family that has a celebrity, the abuse is everywhere. Turning a computer off sometimes isn't just feasible.

When did society get so rude? When did we stop caring about the person on the other end on the internet connection? Where did our sympathy go?

Check out #no RIP and remember to be more responsible for the things you do on the internet. I am a big believer in Karma. IF not you then it could be your children one day. Lets just stop it.
