Suicide and Teen Acne

Teens with severe acne are more likely to suffer suicidal thoughts compared with their clear skinned peers. It was once thought that the medications could be increasing the suicidal risk but now associated with just having the embarrassing pimples themselves.
Girls were twice as likely to contemplate suicide than boys.
I really hate to play the blame game and I really hate myself for this but what are parents teaching their children these days?
