Suicide Is Painless...

That's a song by Johnny Mandel. You've heard it countless times before. It's also the theme song to the TV series, M.A.S.H.

A lot of people that want to die have this fantasy about suicide and how beautiful and moving it is. To take ones life...to a suicidal person, it is the ultimate fantasy. 

They have their suicide all planned out in their heads. How they are going to do it....where they plan to do it...and who is the first one that will find their bodies.

Pain gone forever.

But that's simply not true. Although death is natural...suicide isn't. Its nasty. It's gory. It's not beautiful.

It leaves unanswered questions. It leaves a cycle of hurt. A cycle of pain.

There is nothing pretty about leaving this world and not knowing your full potential.

There is nothing pretty about leaving loved ones behind.

There is nothing pretty about leaving one to question if they should follow in your footsteps.
