Happy People-by Sonya Dickerson (C) 2012

I wish I was happy
I wish I was carefree
I wish I could care less
Of what you think of me.
I wish I was one of those people
That thinks life is worth to live
I wish I was one of those people
That had a little bit more to give
I wish that I was beautiful
I wish that I was free
Of all the ugly thoughts inside
That are slowly killing me
I wish I wasn't so bitter
And that happy endings were't rare
I wish that a smile was all I needed
And death wasn't such a dare.
I watch the smiles of happy people
And wish that I could relate
But I know I could never be like them
This destiny is my fate.
I wish I was happy
I wish I was carefree
I wish I could care less
Of what you think of me.
I wish I was one of those people
That thinks life is worth to live
I wish I was one of those people
That had a little bit more to give
I wish that I was beautiful
I wish that I was free
Of all the ugly thoughts inside
That are slowly killing me
I wish I wasn't so bitter
And that happy endings were't rare
I wish that a smile was all I needed
And death wasn't such a dare.
I watch the smiles of happy people
And wish that I could relate
But I know I could never be like them
This destiny is my fate.
