Tragedy has struck again. This time, in British Columbia. Amanda Todd posted an eerie video asking for help because she was being bullied. Cyber bullying is a serious threat. I urge you parents....

• Talk to your children about what they are doing online. 
•  
• Talk to your children about being bullied. Don't stand by and watch someone else be bullied. Silence=Approval
• 
  
• Talk to your children about NOT being bullies and that it is not okay. If your child is being bullied at school, they can turn out, in some situations, and bully others! Let them know that this is not acceptable.
•  
• If your child is a bully, you need to take action! Don't ever chalk it up to "Kids being Kids". Our children are dying because of this complacent behavior from adults. It should never be tolerated.

• Talk to your children about the dangers of child pornography and how sending pictures of themselves could be dangerous.

These tragedies can be avoided if we remember that we are dealing with human beings. Bullying is never okay for whatever reason. Please, I urge you to talk to your children today. Right now. Get off of Facebook and talk to your children about bullying and suicide. Don't wait until it's too late and don't assume that your child can just handle it. The biggest tragedy in the world is for a parent to bury a child that died. Please. We must stop this madness.

The world must never ever forget,
The lessons learned from pain.
For if we fail to heed her warning
Tragedy shall strike again.

She looked toward the greater good of man,
But repeatedly pushed away,
For those that refused to see her beauty.
Darkness ruled over the day.

She took a step towards the light,
A place where many refuse to trod,
She sent an message, a beacon of help.
Her name was Amanda Todd.

Burn those lasting images into your thoughts,
Her time on Earth served well.
This sleeping beauty now walks with God,
She's done her time in Hell.
